This was our first time Glamping in a Bell tent, I think it is easy to say we will be doing this again. Our expectations from this type of experience were greatly exceeded, this was much more luxurious than first expected.
The tents are not in a fixed location, we talked with the owner, Trish, to discuss what type of location we would like. She had many suggestions and after some discussion found us a location that was perfect for our needs. She listened to what we were looking for and really came through with some amazing suggestions, we ended up staying at the Long Flat Pub, the Publican. It was private and not in a larger city area, but still had amenities and food nearby.
When we first saw our tent we were so excited, it was quite large and very pretty. The front has seats outside and it was even decorated above the door. We unzipped then doors and both were blown away, it was more than anything we expected. There was a full double bed with beautiful linen, decorated with pillows, side tables and even a coffee table. as well as throw rugs and floor pillows and even magazines to entertain us, more then comfortable, it was peaceful and inviting. There was a letter for us explaining about the tent and location and welcoming us to our temporary home.
Trish has thought of everything you may need for a smooth Glamping stay. There was insect spray, a thermos and mugs with tea bags and coffee, tissues, old towels (which came in handy), a padlock, dustpan and other little bits and pieces. The tent itself is very weatherproof, it rained heavily our entire stay and inside the tent stayed completely dry.
We spent most of our two days just relaxing in the tent, listening to the rain, reading the magazines and playing board games. We did venture out in the rain to explore the area and was not disappointed. The area around us was full of small tracks to explore amazing views of farmland and bush hill.
