Closest town: 17Km away is the township of Crescent Head. There you can find a grocery store and petrol stations for any supplys you may need. The next major town is the beach side town of Port Macquarie, 17km via a 4wd track (with a ferry trip of $5) or Kempsey, 40km suitable for 2wd.

Things to do: There are some pleasent walking trails right from this camp ground, and more a short drive away. The real attraction to this campsite is the beautiful beaches right next to you. Point Plumber and back beach are either side of the campground, neither of these beaches are patrolled. Swimming, fishing and snorkelling are all highly recommended here.

Other things to note: It can get incredibly busy here! If you are looking for a more secluded or quite holiday we would suggest not going here in high season or maybe even mid season (We did this with friends on a long weekend and will not be doing it again, it was crazy) but when its quiet this place is magical. The facilities are good with showers and flushing toilets, but once again in high season they can get a bit dirty from so much traffic and long waits to actually use them.

You can't make a booking here, it is a first come first serve basis with only 100 sites BUT a lot more people cram in here when it is busy. for more info head to https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/campgrounds/point-plomer-campground
