This was one unforgettable experience! We stayed here for two nights and it was an amazing wedding anniversary. We got to feed giraffes, see African dogs, rhinos, eat amazing food and stay in the most luxurious tents you will ever see.
When you arrive your host will show you to your private tent. There are two different safari style tent options, a bush view or an animal view (if you can we would suggest the animal view). They have a bed, bathroom (with bath), tea and coffee making facilities and a balcony with lounge. We got to sit back, enjoy wine and look out onto giraffes, zebra and eland.
You can relax in the tent, or use the social areas which have a pool, bar and African themed lounge area until dinner. We had an African banquet meal in a family styled seating with the other guests. The food was delicious and getting to eat with the other guest was a great time to make some new friends.
After dinner we went on a twilight group tour of the zoo, you get too see the animals after the park has closed to other guests. You see animal's being fed and get up close to some amazing creatures.
First thing the next day is the morning tour, this was my favourite part! We got to see and feed some special animals and see them before the zoo opens. Breakfast is at the guest house and, like the night before, the food is very enjoyable. We where then free to enjoy the zoo for the rest of the day before heading home.
The view from the tent is something you will not soon forget. Looking out onto giraffe and zebras being fed, they are so close, is something I could watch all day, and the bed looks out the doors onto that view so you can enjoy that view for sunrise!
The zoo its self is a great place to explore. We think the best way to see it is on bikes, it is too far to walk around and it was just not the same in a car.
